Network Science Corporation, a non-profit organization, was founded to assist in science education by supporting the development of science and technology, by facilitating the timely exchange of information as a means of enhancing professional development, and by fostering public awareness of advances in the therapeutic management of diseases.
The Corporation is exploiting a paradigm shift in the collection, processing, and distribution of scientific information used by professionals in the biotechnology, chemical, and pharmaceutical industries. Utilizing the WWW, NetSci provides a forum for experts to explore and discuss current applications of science and technology with their colleagues world-wide. This forum permits publication of scientific data without the delays inherent in traditional printed media and encourages immediate dialog using hypertext (a contextual linkage of related information sources), multimedia, interactive electronic feedback forms, and automatic electronic mail connections which are not available within any other media.
NetSci is a combination of scientific focus articles and general resources for scientists within the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries. The layout of the journal allows the reader to quickly locate topics of interest by selecting the appropriate "button". In addition to features on classical drug discovery, NetSci will address biotechnology, genomic research, and materials design as well as subjects suggested by our readers.
All issues of NetSci, from its inception in July 1995, remain on-line and are instantly available to readers. Examples of topics covered to date are:
- Combinatorial Chemistry;
- Structure-Based Drug Design
- 3-D Databases
- Bioinformatics;
- Mass Screening;
- QSAR;
- Drug Metabolism/Toxicology;
- and other topics.
We always welcome your comments and your participation.
