ISIS
Integrated Scientific Information System

ISIS (Integrated Scientific Information System) is a client/server system providing comprehensive chemical information management. ISIS gives scientists a single interface to manage, communicate, and analyze a variety of scientific data stored throughout a company's network. ISIS includes:

ISIS/Draw - a client-based chemical drawing package that helps scientists quickly and easily create presentation-quality chemical graphics. Drawings can be used in documents and presentations and to build and search chemical structure databases. A free copy of ISIS Draw can be downloaded for personal use.

ISIS/Base - a powerful client-based database management application that lets scientists manage project data consisting of molecules, reactions, and related data on their desktop computer or, using ISIS/Host, connect to multiple servers for accessing corporate data sources.

ISIS/Host - a server-based application that gives ISIS/Base users transparent access to data stored in flat, binary, relational, text, chemical, reaction, and 2D and 3D chemical structure databases.

ISIS/Draw, ISIS/Base, and ISIS/Host run on a variety of client and server platforms. Industry-standard development tools, combined with the system's adherence to platform standards for interapplication communication and dynamic data exchange, allow customers to extend the utility of ISIS by building customized ISIS applications. Popular and valuable applications in use at customer sites worldwide include inventory tracking and control systems, chemical and biological data registration systems, analytical data integration systems, and electronic laboratory notebook systems.
